Growing up in Dallas meant I was sure to be exposed to two things: teased hair and horses. Thankfully, I took to the latter. As a kid, I would sell Girl Scout cookies to everyone in the neighborhood in order to win cookie credits towards horse camp - my only "in" to spend my time with my favorite animal. After earning my bachelors in Animal Science with a focus in Equine Science at the U of Arkansas (woo pig!), I briefly worked in zoos and eventually as a veterinary science teacher. Today I find myself with one extra degree serving as a school counselor where I encourage kids to chase after their passion - how could I not take my own advice? I have been riding "seriously" for a few years and now hope to find my own horse soon - maybe you will see me competing in the future! For now, I am happy to capture what hooked us all into this community: real partnerships, hard work, and earned accomplishments.Â
I picked up photography in order to get better photos for my scrapbook hobby - honest! I never thought that I would be building a small photography business. If you're willing to enter this journey with me, I will try to accommodate any dreams you may have within my capabilities - and I will be transparent if we need to adjust. This is why I would like to offer my services at an affordable rate - AND because I know how much hay costs these days. If you have any questions or inquiries, please send me a line!
Sincerely,
Mandi Smith
